After birth all mucous should be clear from the calf body.It’s may be done by cow itself or the farmer with soft cloth.Help the calf to stand if they unable to stand.Breathing into nose should be given in case of breathing difficulties.Navel cord cut down 2-3 inch from the body and wash with 5% iodine solution. Bedding should soft and warm. The calf should be provided sufficient amount of colostrum from the first day. One litre milk should given each 10 kg body weight. Calf feeding bottle should be supplied in absence of cow.
